Abstract
Buffalograss (Buchloe dactyloides) cv. 120 (registration number CV-198, PI-607935), developed by the Turfgrass Science Team at the University of Nebraska, was released in the USA in 1997 by the Agricultural Research Division, Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Nebraska for its notable dark-green colour and excellent turfgrass quality at low to high mowing heights. It is a female clone selected from a stand of buffalograss in Osborne County, Kansas. Cultivar 120 is recommended for low to medium maintenance turfgrass sites in the Central and Northern Great Plains, and the northern arid regions of the western USA.
