Based on a theory of academic authorship, RPT statements don't incentivize public distribution of and access to digital scholarship. Instead, academic authors are expected to communicate their findings only to other scholars. Does the audience agree? If so, how does this scholarship make its way to the public? This presentation will detail the theory along with two digital scholarly works that made their way to the public through dedicated library publishing services.
