Abstract

  • Current options for prosthetics are limited either with cumbersome braces that don't allow for full range of motion and require external controls or expensive and invasive prosthetics that require nerve splices
  • Using prosthetics for physical therapy requires extensive equipment training in order to operate the technology
  • Controlling prosthetics using your own muscles without invasive surgery is not currently deployed for medical and therapy uses
