Abstract

Classie-Talkie is a communication tool meant to facilitate communication between a professor and his students. Dr. Stephen Clyde, who is a professor at Utah State University, requires the aid of a microphone in order to effectively communicate with his students. His current system requires students to pass around a microphone if they wish to ask a question. Classie-Talkie enables students to use their laptop computer or smart-phone in place of the microphone to ask questions or make comments during class. Transmitting all voice over IP (voIP), all audio is transmitted to the central server, then ultimately transmitted directly to Dr. Clyde’s hearing aid via Bluetooth.
