Abstract
The guidance tests given at Utah State Agricultural College are used in helping students in the selection of their vocational objectives and in helping in the planning of a program of study. The problem of this thesis is threefold: (1) to determine the value of the entrance tests given at the Utah State Agricultural College in the Fall of 1945-47 for predictive purposes in counseling students on vocational choices; (2) to compare by statistical analysis, using the entrance tests as criteria, students from the various high schools, and to compare by similar analysis the quality of students entering the various schools of the college; and (3) to determine whether the counseling given all rehabilitation students has helped a larger percentage of them to select courses in which they could succeed than Public Law 346 veterans have selected their own courses, usually without counseling.
