Abstract
In the middle of July, 1921, a leaf-spot disease was observed in fields of late crop canning peas (Pisum sativum L.) in the neighborhood of Smithfield, Cache County, Utah. To Professor B. L. Richards who was first to examine affected plants in detail it appeared to be new, differing distinctly from any described disease which he recalled.
