Abstract
Utah ranks as one of the major producers of alfalfa seed in the nation. In 1964, 6.02 million pounds of cleaned seed were produced in the state. This resulted in an income of 1.7 million dollars to Utah seed producers for that year (Agricultural Statistics, 1965).
