Abstract
In the western United States for many years, curly top, a virus disease transmitted by the beet leafhopper, Eutettix tenellus (Baker), has caused serious economic damage to sugar beets, beans, tomatoes, and cucurbits, and in some years is a limiting factor in the production of these crops.
