Abstract
This short story is an attempt to dramatize human relations as the crux of Utopianism. Its science fiction setting has been deemphasized in order to keep distraction at a minimum. The House described in the story may be taken as a symbol of the phalanx - the physical structure - associated with Utopias. The story's focus, however, is on the importance and vulnerability of interpersonal communication in Utopia.
