Abstract
Multi User Virtual Environments (MUVEs) provide an emerging testbed for sophisticated analytic methods of studying learning. From a technical standpoint, MUVEs are unique in their ability to keep minutely detailed records of the moment-by-moment movements and actions of each student in the environment. In this proposed paper, we will present the multiple ways in which these detailed records provide analytic findings for student assessment, both for research purposes and for formative, diagnostic information for practitioners.
