Abstract
The Junior Youth Conference (JYC) Teen Leadership program provides opportunities for Utah teens to plan and implement experiential workshops for 5th-6th graders throughout the state. Evaluation results indicate that teens developed leadership skills, increased self-awareness, and gained effective communication skills, thereby increasing protective factors and mitigating risky behaviors.
