Abstract
Muons are particles that can be created by the collision and decay of cosmic rays with the upper atmosphere. Many detectors have been manufactured to detect these particles. This paper describes how muons can be detected. It details the process of constructing and testing of scintillation photomultiplier tubes. This paper also details what was observed during the construction and what was done by the experimenter to correct perceived issues.
