Abstract
Climatology of gravity waves are helpful for large scale models, but during a single night's observation at McMurdo station the waves have shown strong dynamics hour-to-hour during the 24 hour period. These small scale dynamics can have strong effects on the hourly space weather present in the upper atmosphere, and with this new analysis these small time scales are easily quantifiable.
