Abstract
The social work department at Utah State University is conducting research in partnership with the Utah Devision of Fair Housing. Through surveys given to adults across the state of Utah, we are attempting to parse out what the public knows about fair housing laws in hopes to better educational outreach. Fair housing laws protect several groups from facing housing discrimination based on factors such as race, gender, etc. Anecdotally, it seems that not many people, including real-estate agents, home-owners, renters, and other involved parties, are aware of these protections.
