Abstract

Following up on the presentation of my collegue, Yasmine Kataw, which outlines the Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program being implemented in Utah, this article focuses in on DLI in Northern Utah's Cache Valley. Data for this paper come from the author's observations of the Utah Model of DLI in action in the classroom and from parent surveys as to the motivations and benefits associated with their choice to enroll their children in DLI programs in Cache Valley.
