Abstract

The intricate lives of art objects hold not only the histories of their mother cultures, but these objects have the ability to tell us something of ourselves as well. This Kashmiri Bhagavad Gita manuscript has traveled from India's 19th century colonial art markets through the hands of a Mormon American book collector and finally to Special Collections at USU's Merrill Cazier Library; this journey connects the city of Logan to Kashmir, a place over 8,000 miles away.
