Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities have special needs when it comes to the learning environment. That is why in places with kids of these intellectual disabilities, such as autism, need specially designed rooms to provide sensory stimulation to the users. Sensory rooms not only function as a specially designed playroom, but also as a place that kids can learn while doing playtime activities. By creating a functional playroom, the kids will be able to feel comfortable in their environment, interviewing parents of children with these intellectual disabilities and researching multisensory development the information can be implemented to create a space that is comfortable for the users. The playroom will be a space of learning and development.
