Abstract
For our project we decided to look at one of the main theme songs for the monsters inc. movie. We believe that people don't understand the importance of the form of a song and how that form can help an audience to remember a movie and the feelings they felt watching it. We would like specifically show form in a very popular score that is very recognizable. We are going to do an aural presentation, going through and describing the form of the song and breaking it down. We would like to show a scene from the movie that has the theme playing. For this presentation, we will need a projector with speakers that we can play a video off of while being able to stop, rewind and replay the track. The price we are planning on presenting is in a bianary form. Our goal is to help the audience identify simple forms in music, both from our presentation, as well as in other songs they can find.
