Abstract

We study the linearization of Weyl conformal gravity to characterize the relationship between solutions to the linearized Einstein equation and linearized conformal gravity, especially solutions with sources. While it is well known that solutions to the vacuum Einstein equation are also solutions to vacuum Weyl gravity, a few examples to the converse are known. Linearization allows us to better characterize the differences between the two theories.Presentation Time: Wednesday, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
