Abstract

My great-grandparents have always been an inspiration to me, their smiles could light a room. They had always been a big part of the community and I could tell they were craving these connections in their living facility but were living in an environment that did not nurture new relationships. Through design senior living facilities can encourage connection, hobbies, and good quality of life. By using research regarding the proper use of natural light, color, and design we can create atmospheres worthy of anyone's beloved family members.
