Abstract
Utah landfills receive thousands of tons of waste glass annually while our concrete industry relies on cement, one of the world's largest sources of CO₂ emissions.
We discovered that finely ground recycled glass can replace up to 30% of cement in concrete and improve performance.
This research tests whether Utah's waste-recycled glass can create stronger, more durable concrete for our roads, bridges, and buildings.
