Description

Identifying and developing the potential for synthesis among the existing programs at USU was a major theme in the USU Water Initiative Task Force report. Synthesis activities were proposed to play out through developing information systems, graduate programs, experimental watershed activities and general coordination of campus wide water related activities. The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization Program, ‘Hydrology for the Environment Life and Policy’ (UNESCO HELP) is presented as a potential framework for organizing and integrating water-related activities by USU with stakeholders in the Bear River catchment.
