Abstract

Fast Radio Bursts, or “FRBs,” are fleeting transients that enter our atmosphere approximately once per minute.

They last for only a fraction of a second, but this short lifespan is well accounted for by their sheer abundance. Though they come through the atmosphere quite often, we have only been able to detect a little more than 800 because of how little of the sky we are able to detect.
