Session

Poster Session 2

Location

Salt Palace Convention Center, Salt Lake City, UT

Abstract

Background:

Increasing use of formation flying in space missions:

  • Requires formation establishment and maintenance
  • Relative orbit determination is essential

Conventional Methods

    • Camera
    • Laser
    • GNSS

Large size and mass are mostly required

Depends on the orbit and satellite attitude

Using received signal strength can overcome these limitations.
