Description
Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology uses short bursts of high frequency laser light to gather data used for critical NRO and NASA measurements (atmospheric gases, surface topography, vegetation, etc.). Reducing the size and complexity of LiDAR satellites will lower cost and allow for more frequent missions.
