Description
Metallicities of RR Lyrae stars can be determined by Fourier parameters of their light curves (Jurcsik and Kovacs 1996). Clementini et al. (2019) analyzed Gaia Data Release 2 (DR2) for RR Lyrae stars and determined metallicities through this method. In this work we attempt to re-determine RR Lyrae membership of known globular clusters from the Gaia data and compare derived metallicities to published globular cluster metallicity values. Early results indicate that the Jurcsik and Kovacs method may be better for c-type RR Lyrae stars.
