Description
In this poster I want to show what the Rubin Science platform (RSP) used by the Vera C. Rubin observatory is, as well as how to start using it. The observatory’s telescope is capable of surveying the entire sky on a scale and frequency that has never been seen before. It was created to better understand dark matter and energy, inventory the solar system, map the milky way, and explore objects that change brightness or position over time. Because of the immense amount of data generated by Rubin, work done using Rubin data is done using RSP on an internet browser. Because of the easy accessibility of RSP, Rubin has made their data available to any U.S. or Chilean students or researchers. As a student, I will share my experiences in learning how to use this resource.
