Informant: McKay Spackman is a 22-year-old student at Utah State University. He is from Lewiston, UT and grew up on a dairy farm. He is currently living on campus while attending USU
Context
Context: McKay told me this joke in a car in response to me complaining about how stupid the deer were running out into the road. He said it’s a joke his dad and grandfather have often told him
Text
Text: You know what they say, if you wanna be a great dear hunter, just slow the bullet down to 55 mph
Texture
Texture: McKay used this joke within the context of our conversation about deer and was looking for laughs. I didn’t ask him about this project until after I had heard the joke, so it was a fairly natural joke telling environment
