Description
In the summer of 1990, 22 year old Christopher McCandless left a suburban middleclass society, changed his name and set forth into the wilderness. Following this two year adventure through America, leading to his death in an old abandoned bus amongst the deserted, bitter cold landscape of Alaska. This work is devised from research, literature and interviews with the people closest to McCandless. BA Theatre Practice and BA Acting for Collaborative and Devised Theatre (2nd years) tell this story of discovery: the journey of a man obsessed with nature and willing to leave everything behind in his quest to be Alexander Supertramp.
