Abstract
If you're a woman who works, you know that managing a career and getting ahead is different for ou than it is for your male coworkers. For one thing, the corporate culture where you work is likely to reflect male values and workstyles. Most of the role models at the top are likely to be men. Most people in our culture expect that men will have careers, be the main providers for their families, and aspire to leadership positions. They expect that women will take primary responsibility for housework and childcare. These traditional expectations mean that you, as a career woman, face challenges and opportunities that are different from those of career men.
