Abstract
During the last years extensive studies have been made in several countries of problems pertaining to the production of red clover seed. Special interest has been given to the seed formation in red clover and factors influencing it, in the first place the occurrence of pollinating insects. At the first international symposium on pollination, held in Denmark and Scania in August 1960, several important problems concerning the pollination of red clover were dealt with in lectures and discussions. It has been considered of value to present, at the second international meeting on pollination, a certain survey of pollination and seed growing of red clover in Europe. After preliminary discussions a questionnaire was sent to a large number of European countries asking for the answer to several questions, viz.
