Abstract

The preliminary investigations whose results are presented in this paper were carried out at the experimental farm of the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural College in Denmark in 1962 and 1963. In both years the observations were made in the same locality and on the same semi-late or single-cut varieties of diploid and tetraploid red clover. There is no commercial seed production of tetraploid red clover strains in Denmark, but two Danish tetraploid strains can be expected in the market in 1965.
