Object Story
The memoirs of the participant's grandfather, detailing his experiences during the Vietnam War, discuss numerous battles, station assignments, and locations. Handwritten and inherited, this memoir has been cherished within the family since it was obtained. Acquired in 2019 across multiple states, including Washington, Minnesota, Iowa, and Utah, the memoir documents the personal dimensions of war that the grandfather found challenging to vocalize. In an endeavor to honor the wishes of the deceased author, the participant seeks to preserve and share their story under a pseudonym.
