Description

Are you frustrated with the challenges presented by traditional textbooks – high costs, frequent “updates,” lack of flexibility? In this session, the Library will present options for free and low-cost alternatives to textbooks, commonly referred to as open educational resources (OER). We will discuss how to find and evaluate OER as well as what role the Library can play in helping you in this process. Time at the end of the session will be devoted to answering your specific questions and identifying high-quality resources that not only enhance your classes but also save your students’ money at the same time. In this session, participants will learn how to identify and evaluate open educational resources that could replace or supplement their traditional textbooks.
