The overarching goals of this presentation are to 1) provide an overview of increasingly common personality traits of narcissism and psychological entitlement, 2) discuss the relevance of these personality traits to the education setting, and 3) recommend specific teaching techniques educators can use to adapt and tailor their teaching techniques to positively manage and connect with these personalities.In this session, you will learn what narcissism and psychological entitlement are and how they affect student motivation, attitude, and behavior. You will also learn theory-based techniques to improve your teaching style, curriculum design, and student evaluations.
