Description

Last semester I tried several ways of letting students lead the learning, and found the best engagement when they wrote their own case studies in small groups. This invited student discussion and solidified their learning. The setup took less than two hours, and with a good assignment framework the students brought up all the important lecture points among themselves. Students chose their own topic and needed two checkpoints throughout the class with the instructor throughout the assignment to ensure their scenarios were realistic. The case studies were then used in future classes.
