Description
If we assume that USU's student population is homogeneous, we are not prepared to respond meaningfully to their differences. Our students come from a wide array of backgrounds, including different religious traditions. To help students feel included and be more engaged, faculty and staff need to learn about religious differences and the experiences of religious-minority students. In this session, participants will assess their own level of interreligious awareness and learn three specific ways to address the gaps in their knowledge and experience. Exploring their own understanding, participants can begin to equip themselves for building an inclusive climate for all students.
