Location

Start Date

Description
The best teachers never eat the whole elephant. Through a workshop-style session, we will explore how to break down what the best college teachers do, what our group has learned from Ken Bain's What the Best College Teachers Do, and different ways of incorporating bits and pieces of the whole elephant. We will explore setting up expectations and leading students to follow those expectations, creating a natural critical learning environment using 5 key principles, breakdown mastery to foundational steps (seeing the DNA that built the elephant), and engaging students in disciplinary thinking.
