Description
Mentorship is a vital part of faculty work, but it’s not always easy to document. This session will provide practical strategies for capturing and highlighting your mentorship efforts in your promotion dossier. Recently promoted faculty will share parts of their portfolio as examples. Learn how to effectively showcase the ways you support students outside the classroom—through advising, research, professional development, and more.
Additionally, the presenters will highlight the Faculty to Student Mentorship Program and opportunities to engage in mentorship documentation. This would include student research presentations, class assignments, and community engagement. Statewide faculty members will also learn about joining the mentorship program to jumpstart their mentoring journey early in the academic career. Join us for a discussion on making your mentorship visible and demonstrating its impact!
