According to a survey by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, attributes such as problem-solving, teamwork, and communication consistently rank among the most desired skills in future employees. This session will introduce the fundamentals of leadership and emotional intelligence while exploring practical ways to integrate these concepts into the classroom to support student success. We will highlight a collaborative initiative between the Career Design Center and the Dietetics Program that introduced students to Clifton Strengths, equipping them with specific leadership language for interviews and boosting their confidence. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies for embedding leadership development into their courses and empowering students as they transition into the workforce.
