The Forage and Range Research Laboratory (FRRL) is a USU-affiliated U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) lab. At FRRL, plant breeders, geneticists, and ecologists work together to produce research on the types of plants that grow in the dry, temperate climates of rangelands in the Western U.S. The studies completed at the Forage and Range Research Laboratory helps improve plants, discover better practices to use with foraging livestock, and find more sustainable solutions that can help to protect the environment.
