Abstract
As electric vehicle (EV) adoption increases, new infrastructure like Electric Road Systems (ERS)—which wirelessly charge EVs while driving—is being explored. While promising, ERS are more expensive to build and maintain than traditional roads.
Because U.S. roads are primarily funded by taxpayers, this project explores:
• Traditional roadway costs and ERS costs
• Ways to recover that investment in a sustainable, fair way.
