Abstract
It is my purpose in this paper to study the correlation between the results secured from the Army Alpha Intelligence test and the Star Mirror Stability test. I recognise the fact that intelligence is the most important factor in human conduct and therefore do not want to discount any reliable, objective intelligence test. It is admitted by most educators that there are other important factors in human conduct. Thorndike stated, "stability has a great weight in mentality". Goddard, in his work on Levels of Intelligence, at Princeton University, said, "I know there are other factors, but solve the X now and leave the Y and Z for later consideration, when we shall know as much about emotion and temperament as we know about intelligence". 1 It is my purpose to explore the Y field. After a great deal of experimental work and testing, I believe stability to be the factor next in importance to intelligence.
