Over the last year, this session's presenters have been students in programs focused on teaching. Maryann is in the process of obtaining a Masters of Education degree in Curriculum & Instruction and Stacy and Marlene recently completed an intensive 25-week course endorsed by the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) and focused on effective online teaching practices. In this session, they will discuss the basics of various learning theories (behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism) and how they apply in an educational setting. They will also share research, examples, and resources related to active learning and building an inclusive learning community.
