National Center for Engineering and Technology Education

The National Center for Engineering and Technology Education (NCETE) is a collaborative network of scholars with backgrounds in technology education, engineering, and related fields. The focus of this center is not so much on the actual subjects of technology and engineering but on how to best teach them in schools. NCETE goes beyond the basic pedagogies of math and science and seeks for the best methods of integrating technology and engineering into the education system, helping to engage in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) learning. The center also continually strives to share information about the most efficient teaching techniques in order to better help students who are learning about these fields. Our mission is to build capacity in technology education and to improve the understanding of both learning and teaching for high school students and teachers as they apply engineering design processes to technological problems.
