Beta Alpha Psi Reaches Out to Boy Scouts

Beta Alpha Psi members recently conducted a highly successful service event for 82 Boy Scouts and their scout masters educating them about careers in accounting as well as taking them through the steps toward earning their personal management merit badge, one of the merit badges that is required to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout. This particular merit badge is one of the more difficult merit badges to earn because it requires budgeting and tracking personal income and expenditures.

Denik, a Company Started By Huntsman Student, Gets Product Featured on Good Morning America and in The New York Times

Denik, a company founded by a Huntsman student, got some national exposure on Nov. 6 on ABC's "Good Morning America" and on Nov. 4 in the New York Times. The company makes journals that feature artwork from artists around the world. For each journal Denik sells, $1 goes to help build schools in developing countries and five percent of their profits go back to the artists. Check out its website by clicking here. Good Morning America featured a number of products that are now sold on Tom's Marketplace, a website that gives international exposure to products made by people who might not have access to such world-wide markets otherwise. Department of Economics and Finance Awarded USU’s Teaching Excellence Prize

Utah State University recently awarded the Economics and Finance Department at the Huntsman School of Business with the 2013 Department Teaching Excellence Award. This award is the highest honor given to academic departments, and recognizes department cultures that meaningfully value learning excellence. The award selection committee includes faculty, students, administrators, and a member of the Board of Trustees.
